  5. Shinsaibashisuji/Ebisubashi

    Shinsaibashi-suji shopping street has a long history since the Edo period. In the early modern period, there were many shops selling books, koto-shamisen, and kimono, and it is said that soon after the Meiji Restoration, shops selling clothes appeared. It is said that stylish people enjoyed walking around Shinsaibashi-suji, calling it ``heart bra.'' Ebisubashi, the southern terminus of the shopping street, used to be bustling with pilgrims to Imamiya Ebisu and theater goers to Dotonbori, but now it is filled with young people. Pose with the familiar Glico sign! The neon signs reflected on the river surface are also a beautiful Osaka-esque sight.

  6. Hozenji Mizukake Fudoson

    Although Hozenji is located in the downtown area of ​​Minami, it exudes a quiet Naniwa atmosphere. As you pass through the gate labeled ``Hozenji Yokocho'' and walk steadily down the stone-paved alley, you will be greeted by the scent of incense and the sight of Mizukake Fudo. Ofudo-san's entire body is covered with green moss from the water poured by the pilgrims with their wishes. It shows the depth of faith and history. This alley, packed with small restaurants and bars, was depicted in the novel ``Meoto Zenya'' by Sakunosuke Oda, and was sung in the hit song ``Tsuki no Hozenji Yokocho,'' which begins with ``One knife, wrap it exposed.'' There is also a monument to that poem in the Yokocho.
