Tachibana Street (Orange Street)

A street that represents Osaka's "fashionable" style, lined with cafes, boutiques, miscellaneous goods, interior shops, and other stylish stores.
Tachibana Street is a street that represents Osaka's "fashionable" scene, located a 3-minute walk west on the street just south of America-mura Triangle Park. Cafes, boutiques, miscellaneous goods, imported furniture, interior shops and other fashionable stores line both sides of the 800m-long street, and it is bustling with young people on weekends. Originally called Tachibana Street, it existed as a furniture street in Minami-Horie since the end of the Edo period, and in the Meiji era there were many antique shops, and especially during the period of high economic growth after the war, it became known nationwide as a "furniture town." Today, it is nicknamed Orange Street (Tachibana = mandarin orange), and while traditional Japanese furniture stores that have been in business since before the war remain, it is attracting attention as a new cultural hub. Minatomachi River Place and OCAT are adjacent to the south.
