Tsuboya Temple
This is a temple of the Yutsunenbutsu sect that enshrines the unique legendary bodhisattva who confronts the god of thunder, and its principal image is Amida Nyorai.
This is a temple of the Yuzu-nen Buddhist sect, and the seventh temple of the Kawachi Saigoku Sacred Hall Association. It was originally rebuilt on the site of a temple called Hozenji during the Heian period, and the current main hall is the hall of Eikoji (formerly Buninji), which had been abandoned and was relocated in 1888. , the principal image is Amida Nyorai. In addition, the bronze Bodhisattva standing statue enshrined in the main hall is small at 19.9 cm in height, but it is a well-proportioned and elegant Bodhisattva statue from the Hakuho period, and is thought to have originally been a gilt-bronze Buddha, and is currently located in Osaka. It is a designated cultural property of the prefecture. It also has another name, ``Lightning Kannon.'' In the past, when lightning frequently struck this area and caused great damage, Kannon heard the prayers of the people who suffered the damage and confronted the lightning. It is said that lightning no longer strikes.
