Higashiosaka City Hanazono Rugby Stadium
Opened in 1929, it is the oldest rugby stadium in Japan. It is famous as the "holy ground" of high school rugby, and the national tournament is held there every year. In 2019, it was also the venue for the Rugby World Cup 2019™ in Japan.
It opened in 1929 as Japan's first stadium dedicated to rugby. Every year, the National High School Rugby Football Tournament is held here, and it is known as the "holy land" of rugby. Japan Rugby League One and international matches featuring top players are also held here, attracting many spectators from all over the country. In 2018, it underwent a major renovation and was reborn as a stadium that can accommodate approximately 27,000 people. The Hanazono Rugby Museum inside the stadium is open to spectators free of charge during matches. Inside the museum, there is a corner where you can learn about the history of Hanazono Rugby Stadium, a highlight video of the National High School Rugby Tournament final, and precious jerseys of the Japanese national team are on display.
