Sukuhikona Shrine
This shrine is located in a valley between buildings in Doshomachi, known as the ``Medicine Town,'' and is known as the god of health and medicine. It enshrines Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto, the god of Japan's medicine ancestors, and Shinnoen-tei, the god of Chinese medicine, and is also called ``Shinno-san.'' Masu. It is said that the festival began in 1780, when drug dealers and the Shinno clan, who had been enshrined at the Nakama Kaisho in Doshomachi, solicited and enshrined the spirit of Sukunahikona no Mikoto from Kyoto's Gojo Tenjin Shrine. The "Papier-mache tiger", a popular souvenir from Osaka, is our company's talisman to ward off illness. In 1822, when an epidemic of cholera broke out in Osaka, a pill called ``Torazu Satsuki Yuoen'' was made to prevent the disease, and it was distributed free of charge along with a talisman called ``Papier-Mache Tiger'' to pray for the disease. It is said that he has since recovered from his illness. The Shennong Festival is held on November 22nd and 23rd every year, and papier-mâché tigers are handed out. There is also a ``Kusuri no Doshomachi Museum'' on the grounds.
