Konoike Shinden Kaisho
Nitta Kaisho was built by the third generation Zenemon Konoike Munetoshi, a wealthy Osaka merchant. It conveys the atmosphere of the Edo period.
During the Edo period, the third-generation Zen'emon Munetoshi Konoike, known as a wealthy Osaka merchant, undertook construction work to replace the Yamato River and develop new farmland (new rice fields), and developed new rice fields in various locations. Among them, Konoike Shinden, which was developed in 1705, is the largest, with an area of approximately 200 ha. The Konoike Shinden Kaisho, built in 1707, collects rents from the farmers of the Nitta and pays an annual tax to the Shogunate, as well as maintains, repairs, and repairs the fields, waterways, bridges, etc. within the Nitta. These tasks include creating books (equivalent to current resident records), providing koyo rice (equivalent to current pensions) to the elderly, conveying messages from the shogunate and the Konoike family to farmers, and mediating disputes. It was given functions such as city hall and police. The house is reminiscent of those days, with a strolling garden that uses Mt. Ikoma as a backdrop, and a bookstore/rice storehouse (an important cultural property of the country), which was once used as a filming location for historical dramas, and is still occasionally used for special exhibitions and lectures. Meetings are being held.
