Ishikiri Tsurugi Shrine
This is a shrine that enshrines the two ancestral deities of the ancient ruling family, the Mononobe clan, Rasho Nichison and Kami Mate no Mikoto.
The shrine was founded approximately 2,700 years ago, when Umashimane no Mikoto enshrined her father, Nishinobi, on Mt. Ikoma. This is a shrine that enshrines two ancestral deities, Nigihayahi no Mikoto and Umashima no Mikoto. The company name ``Ishikiri Tsurugi'' represents the divine virtue and power of the enshrined deity, which is so great that it can cut through even the strongest of rocks. Fondly known as ``Ishikiri-san'' and ``the god of boils,'' the Hyakudo pilgrimage, which involves going back and forth between the Hyakudu stone in front of the main shrine and the entrance to the shrine, is famous nationwide.
