Nationwide trip Kansai area Nationwide trip Kansai area

Traditional Japanese high-value-added cultural
experience enjoyed by the Sengoku daimyo 300 years ago

In the Kansai area, where the capital once existed, there are many origins of Japanese culture such as Washoku (Japanese food), the tea ceremony, classical performing arts, crafts and Zen which have been passed down to the present day. We particularly select high-quality and attractive content programs from the Kansai area. One of Japan's best and most diverse cultures is exemplified by Shojin Ryori (vegetarian cuisine), flower arrangement at a temple related to the Imperial family, a night ritual ceremony at the initial sacred site in Japan, martial arts performances, experiences at the sacred place of Bushido and bonsai lessons by a skilled master are all offered for you. You can closely observe the essence of the culture by the master giving you the instruction in these various arts. Have a high-quality experience that is unique to Kansai - the source of Japanese culture!

Daitokuji Temple

A Zen Buddhist temple that is one of the largest Zen complexes in Kyoto, with two annex temples and 22 tomb temples with thatched roofs in the large precincts. Since there are only four tomb temples that are normally open to the public, tourists are sparse and there is a Zen spirit. Just strolling around the green precincts will cleanse your soul.
