Daitokuji Temple
A Zen Buddhist temple that is one of the largest Zen complexes in Kyoto, with two annex temples and 22 tomb temples with thatched roofs in the large precincts. Since there are only four tomb temples that are normally open to the public, tourists are sparse and there is a Zen spirit. Just strolling around the green precincts will cleanse your soul.

Okadera
Okadera has a history of 1,300 years. There is a legend that the evil dragon that was afflicting the people of Asuka was sealed in a pond by the law of the priest Gien, who opened Okaji Temple, and then covered it with a large stone. The dragon is said to have been converted into a good dragon.
