Mikuni Minato Kitamae-dori Street
Mikuni Port prospered as a base for trade along the Sea of Japan and as a port of call for kitamae-bune (cargo vessel) in the Edo Period (1603-1868). There remain buildings that evoke the prosperity of those times, such as the Former Morita Bank Head Office and the Old Kishina Family Home.

A Stroll Around the Tojinbo Cliffs
Its distinctive feature is the spectacular scenery of colossal rugged, rocky “columnar joint cliffs” that stretch on for about 1 kilometer along the coast. Columnar joint cliffs of this large scale are rare across the world, and are designated as a national natural treasure. The scenery of the cliffs as seen from the tour boat is also splendid. You can also enjoy eating around and looking for souvenirs along the Tojinbo shopping street of about 300 meters lined with some 30 shops.
