Yaei Shrine
According to an old record, during the Bunroku era (1592-1595), Yaei Shrine was held as a festival where a branch spirit was transferred from Kumano Shrine, the former Kokuhei Taisha Shrine in Yatsuka District, Shimane Prefecture (formerly Izumo Kokuiu District). there is. Since its founding, it has been highly revered as the guardian of the former Kino Village, and a shrine was set up where it held festivals. In the 5th year of the Meiji era, it was ranked as a village shrine, and a Shinto priest was appointed to serve it, and the company name was also changed to Yaei Shrine at this time. During the summer festival held in July, a parade of togyo is carried out. A procession of shrine parishioners, Sarutahiko, Shinto priests, shrine maidens, magistrates, and children's lion dances forms a procession centered around the mikoshi and hawk carriage, and goes around the shrine area. A parade of evacuation road vehicles is also held, which attracts tens of thousands of spectators every year.
