A ryokan where feudal lords and samurai of the Edo period stayed.

A ryokan where feudal lords from the Saigoku region stayed during the Edo period. It is located almost in the middle of Saigoku Kaido, which connects Kyoto and Nishinomiya, and is officially called ``Settsu Koriyama-juku Honjin''. Because there was a beautiful camellia tree at the Onarimon gate (entrance), it came to be called ``Tsubaki no Honjin.'' Founded in 1635. The building was destroyed in a fire in 1718, along with valuable historical records, except for the guest book, but it was rebuilt three years later in 1721, and has remained unchanged for approximately 280 years, and has been designated as a national historic site. . There is also a record that Takukami Asano, the lord of Ako Castle, famous for the Chushingura, stayed here every year from 1697 to 1701.
