Hamadera Park Traffic Amusement Park
You can see the steam locomotive D51 and Hankai Electric Railway No. 130, which are the envy of railway fans. Go-karts and children's trains are also very popular.
Kotsu Yuen was built in 1873 and is located in Hamadera Park, which is also known for the beauty of its pine forest and rose garden. Railway enthusiasts will remember the nostalgic Hankai Electric Railway No. 130 (Mo 121 type) and the freight steam locomotive D51, affectionately known as Degoichi, are preserved and exhibited here. There are also popular rides for children, such as go-karts (ages 4 and up, 300 yen) that can be driven on a 760m highway course with slopes and curves, and battery cars (100 yen per ride). As Kotsu Yuen is quite far from the central entrance of Hamadera Park, it is also fun to take the children's train (300 yen for adults, 150 yen for children) from Rose Garden Station near the rose garden. The course to Kotsu Yuen Station is short, about 1200m, but the station and tracks are just like the real thing. It runs peacefully through the greenery.
