Tombori River Walk
Dotonbori waterside promenade with beautiful neon lights reflected on the water. It is also the spot where the Tenjin Festival and Kabuki boat rides are held.
A promenade is being constructed along the Dotonbori River, which flows through the center of Minami, the face of Osaka, as part of a project aimed at revitalizing Osaka, the City of Water. The Ebisubashi-Nihonbashi section and the Minato-cho section (total of 600m) have already been opened. Nowadays, the number of shops with entrances on the river side has increased to more than 30, such as the Don Quijote Dotonbori store, which has a large Ferris wheel. There is also a pier, and sightseeing boat cruises along the Dotonbori River are gaining in popularity. Around 20 events are held every year at this "Tonbori River Walk", and since the "Aqua Capital Osaka 2009" event was held, the charm of Osaka's waterfront has been attracting attention, and we plan to hold fun events and open cafes in the future. However, it seems that this number will continue to increase. Please check the event schedule on the "Tonbori River Walk" homepage and come enjoy events and meals along the Dotonbori River waterfront to make memories of sightseeing in Osaka, or with your family and friends.
