Tokimeki Beach (Tannowa Beach)
Tokimeki Beach (Tannowa Beach) is known for its white sand and clear water. The view of the sunset is also wonderful.
Tokimeki Beach (Tannowa Beach), located one hour by train from Namba, Osaka, near the southernmost tip of Osaka, is a beach with wide white sand and clear water. It is one of the beaches of Misaki Town that was mentioned in Ki Tsurayuki's ``Tosa Nikki'' and ``Manyoshu'' in ancient times, and along with the nearby Nagamatsu Beach and Sennan Satoumi, it has been a popular scenic spot famous for its white sand and blue pine trees. Currently, it is one of the best resort beaches in Osaka, and is crowded with people for clam hunting from late March to early June and for swimming from July 1st to late August. There are several beach volleyball courts, including competition courts, on the sandy beach, so you can enjoy playing beach volleyball in earnest. During the summer swimming season, a shuttle bus also runs from Tannowa Station.
