Taishi Onsen
Relax and heal the fatigue of your travels at a quiet natural hot spring nestled in the mountains of Mt.
Taishi Onsen is a natural hot spring located in Taishi Town, which is connected to Prince Shotoku. There are many temples nearby, including Eifukuji Temple, which is known as the temple where the Prince built his own tomb during his lifetime, the Gobyō, where the Prince's mother and others are buried, and the tomb of Emperor Yomei, the Prince's father. It is a popular hot spring where people visiting historic sites and returning from hiking stop by to relieve their fatigue. There is an open-air bath made of cypress wood and a large rock bath overlooking the lush green mountains. The spring quality is simple, and it is said to be effective in recovering from rheumatism, neurosis, and fatigue. Inside the hotel, there are calm guest rooms built in the Sukiya style, where you can stay overnight and enjoy meals such as seasonal Kaiseki cuisine.
