It is one of the Engishiki naishas. It became famous as the ``Sugao Tenmangu Shrine'' as it enshrined and enshrined Tenjin (deified Sugawara no Michizane). Within the shrine grounds, there is a stream called ``Sugazawa,'' which is said to be the birthplace of Michizane Sugawara. The main hall, which has a cypress bark roof, is a building from the early Edo period. The famous ``Sugo Tenjin Engi Emaki 2 Scrolls (illustrated by Kano Eino)'' and ``Kitano Tenjin Engi Emaki 3'' are dedicated there. Other works include the ``Five-panel image of Tenjin'', ``12-panel pictorial biography of Lord Kan's first generation'', ``One volume of the Golden Lotus Sutra'', and ``Thirty-six poems and paintings dedicated to Kano Eino''.
