Sanada Yukimura statue
A statue of Sanada Yukimura, a military commander of the Toyotomi army during the Osaka Winter Siege, standing in the grounds of Sanko Shrine.
A bronze statue of Yukimura stands bravely in the precincts of Sanko Shrine. It was erected in 1987, and the pedestal is said to be made of Sanada stone taken from the Sanada family's family temple in Ueda, Shinshu. Next door is the Sanada Loophole, an underground path leading to the castle town that is said to have been built by Yukimura.
