Shio no Yu Onsen
It is said that more than 1,000 years ago, when Mitsumasa, the younger brother of Minamoto no Mitsunaka, the ancestor of the Genji clan, was suffering from a serious illness, he received a message from the Yakushi Nyorai, healed himself in this hot spring, and made a full recovery. The Sukiya-zukuri style building has a calm atmosphere befitting a hot spring inn. The hot springs here are characterized by a hot spring bath made of carbonated cold mineral springs. It's a little cold, but if you add it alternately with hot water, it will relieve your fatigue. It is said to be good for neuralgia, joint pain, chronic digestive disorders, sensitivity to cold, high blood pressure, etc. The clear carbonated spring that gushes out in the courtyard is rich in minerals and is effective against diabetes and liver disease. In addition, at the inn, you can enjoy seasonal flavors such as wild vegetables in spring, ayu in summer, matsutake in autumn, and oyster hotpot in winter.
