Shinnyoji Temple (Nose Town)
The only temple in Osaka that enshrines the remains of Saint Nichiren. A place of prayer for the Nose clan, descendants of the Settsu Genji clan.
It was built by Nose Yoritsugu for the soul of Tokugawa Ieyasu and as a place of prayer for the Nose clan. It is the only temple in Osaka that enshrines the remains of Saint Nichiren, and is known as Kansai Minobu after Mount Minobu, the head temple of the Nichiren sect, and has long been known as a sacred place in the Kinki region. It was founded by the monk Nikkan. Nearby, there are the auxiliary temples of Shinnyoji, Mount Nose Myoken and Okunoin, and the three temples, including Shinnyoji, are connected as training routes.

- If you are coming by car, please see the following website. Free parking available (50 cars). There is a Kyoto Taxi stand at Tokiwadai Station on the Nose Electric Railway. If you are coming by public transportation, please take a taxi from Tokiwadai Station.
*The Hankyu Bus Myokenguchi Nose Line was discontinued in April 2024.
