Village of citizen interaction squirrel garden

Formosan squirrels are kept here, and you can feed them and even touch them.

This squirrel garden is located in a corner of the ``Citizen Fureai no Sato'' in Sayama City, Osaka, about a 20-minute walk east from Sayama Station on the Nankai Koya Line. There is a single hut in the center of the spacious space, and nest boxes made of logs are dotted around it. Formosan squirrels are kept here, and if you feed them, they will come right to you. Bait is sold at the entrance for 100 yen. They are used to humans and don't seem to run away if you touch them, but in the afternoon they get full and sometimes don't come out of their hives, so it's best to visit them in the morning.
