Takiyasuji Temple
It is a famous temple founded by En Gyoja and whose principal image is considered to be one of the four Benzaiten deities in Japan. It is also famous as the birthplace of the Japanese lottery.
It is said that in 650, Enno Gyoja received the Dharma from the Bodhisattva Ryuju while training at Minoh Falls, carved a statue of Benzaiten under the waterfall, and enshrined it in the hall, and in ancient times it was called Minoh Temple. It is also known as the birthplace of the lottery, as it published the ``Fukutomi of Minoh'' during the Edo period, and its appearance is also depicted in the ``Settsu Meisho Zue.'' Benzaiten is said to have the merits of wealth and advancement in the arts, and is visited by worshipers all year round. It is also the base dojo for mountain asceticism, and mountain priests from all over the Kinki region gather for the annual event, Daigoma-ku.
