New Kabukiza Theatre
The venue is characterized by a seating area that is close to the performers and full of realism.
Since its opening in 1958 , the Shin Kabukiza in Namba has been loved for over 50 years for its Momoyama-style karahafu-style exterior, but in September 2010, it moved to Osaka Uehonmachi. It has a seating capacity of about 1,500 , a long, shallow three-tiered structure, and inherits the characteristic of the Namba Shin Kabukiza, which is a close distance between the performers and the audience, creating a space full of realism. A wide variety of performances are performed, from special plays and shows led by top stars to musicals and concerts. There is also a restaurant and cafe inside the Uehonmachi YUFURA , where the theater is located, which can be used before, during, or between performances.
