Osaka Shiki Theater
This is the first base theater in the Kansai region for Shiki Theater Company, Japan's largest theater company, which is popular for its numerous masterpiece musicals.
The business days/hours are subject to change in order to prevent the spread of infection by COVID-19, the new coronavirus. Please refer to the official website for details.
The Osaka Shiki Theater opened in November 2004 in Herbis ENT in Nishi-Umeda, Osaka, and is the first base theater for the Shiki Theater Company in the Kansai region. The introduction of a Western-style theater with narrow frontage and height made it possible to reproduce works produced in various theaters overseas. There are approximately 1,200 seats, and the seats on the second floor extend very close to the stage, allowing you to enjoy a sense of unity with the stage. The Shiki Theater Company was formed in 1953, and in 1983, it performed its first long-running production, ``Cats,'' which was a great success, and has now grown to become Japan's largest theater company with 600 actors.
