Edion Arena Osaka (Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium)
A sports center where you can play various sports such as volleyball, basketball, judo, and gymnastics. Classes such as yoga and aerobics are also held.
It is about 350m from Namba Station on the Osaka Metro. Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium has stadiums and dojos for various sports such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, handball, badminton, table tennis, judo, kendo, gymnastics, and boxing, as well as a multipurpose hall and meeting rooms. It was built in 1952 by transporting the framework of an airplane hangar, but was completely renovated in 1985 and reopened in 1987 as a gymnasium with the sports center functions mentioned above, which is still in use today. It also holds classes for yoga, aerobics, walking exercises, and more.
