Osaka City Museum of Natural History
You can learn about Osaka's nature, the evolution of living things, and the history of life on Earth.
Located in a corner of Nagai Park, the museum focuses on nature and has exhibits such as "Nature around us," "The history of the Earth and life," "The evolution of life," and "The blessings of nature."
The museum has five permanent exhibits titled "Life of Living Things."
It has a variety of valuable collections, including dinosaur skeletons and specimens of plants and animals from around the world, focusing on the nature of Osaka.
The company is known nationwide for the uniqueness of its activities.
Particularly impressive are the life-size reconstructed model of a Naumann's elephant and the skeletal specimens of three whales, including a fin whale.
There are also exhibits where you can learn about the lives of living things in a fun way through games and videos.
Other highlights include special exhibitions based on the curators' research activities and an original museum shop.
They also actively participate in outdoor activities such as nature observation meetings.
