Osaka Municipal Central Gymnasium is made up of a main arena, sub arena, judo hall, kendo hall, and large, medium and small conference rooms that can accommodate a wide variety of events and sporting matches. Built on the concept of harmony with nature, with two lush green hills as its motif, it is a multi-purpose space with all facilities located underground, a rare semi-underground structure in the world. It is fully equipped with a stage, large-scale audiovisual equipment and lighting facilities that can accommodate a wide variety of events, as well as professional and amateur sports.
