Oizumi Ryokuchi
With 320,000 flowers and trees of 200 different varieties that decorate the four seasons, and plenty of play equipment for children, it is popular with a wide range of people, including families.
Oizumi Ryokuchi, which straddles Sakai City and Matsubara City, is one of Osaka's four major green spaces, which was planned as part of Osaka's urban green space in 1941. It is home to 320,000 flowers and trees of about 200 different species, allowing visitors to enjoy the colors of the four seasons. Visitors can feel close to nature in the city with the "Fureai Garden," which has adopted universal design so that everyone can enjoy it, and the "Iris Garden," where about 10,000 flowers of 15 different species bloom. There are also plenty of other places to play, such as the "Cycle Mud Square," which has a BMX-only course, the "Skateboard Square," and the "Adventure Land," which has several giant slides. There are a wide variety of facilities, such as the "Flower and Green Consultation Office," where you can get advice on gardening, "Good BBQ," where you can have a BBQ without having to bring anything, and a "Dog Run" for small dogs, making it popular with a wide range of people.
