Kurisuyama The area where the chestnut garden is located is called Kurisu, and is known for its many chestnut mountains. Chestnut seeds are also called ``Ginyose'', and although they are large, they have a strong sweet taste and are considered one of Nose's specialties. Chestnut picking begins in mid-September every year.
