nihonbashi
This bridge was built where Sakaisuji (Kishu Kaido) passes through Dotonbori, and is located in Chuo Ward, Osaka City. During the Edo period, the bridge of Nihonbashi was called ``Nagamachi'' and was an old post town. Hashizume has a dock and is a busy hub for water and land transportation, and the Shogunate's high-priced billboard (kosatsuba: present-day official gazette bulletin board) was built on the west side of Minamizume, which is the turning point to Dotonbori, which was especially busy. Ta. At that time, it was a wooden bridge about 40m long and 7m wide. After going through several renovations since the Meiji era, it was replaced in 1969 with the construction of the subway, and continues to this day. The main pillars of the old bridge remain at the bridge. Additionally, during the Meiji period, the Nihonbashi area was bustling with used bookstores, but after the war, stores that sold parts and tools for self-made radios appeared, and it developed into an electronics district, and today's ``Denden'' "Town" has been reached.
