Fishing Garden Seawall (Osaka Nanko Fishing Garden)
This is Osaka Prefecture's only sea fishing park, which uses the breakwater at the west end of the south pier of Nanko Port as a fishing spot, so that people can get familiar with the sea and the port. It has a quay length of 612m, a width of 12.5m including the walkway, and an area of approximately 300 square meters, and can accommodate approximately 400 people. In the spring, you can catch rockfish, rockfish, and greenling; in the summer, you can catch horse mackerel, mackerel, sardines, rockfish, and Chinese rockfish; in the fall, you can catch horse mackerel, mackerel, sardines, greenlings, flounder, and greenling; in the winter, you can catch sea bass, flounder, rockfish, and greenling. On Sundays and holidays, when the area is crowded with families, members of the Fishing Culture Association provide fishing guidance, and every Saturday from 4:00 p.m., top-class sea bass hunters with fishing instructor qualifications visit the area. Classes will be held to teach lure fishing for fish that are easy to catch, such as cutlassfish and sea bass. There is no membership fee.
