Experience the wonder of familiar insects in the nature-filled Mt. Minoh.
The business days/hours are subject to change in order to prevent the spread of infection by COVID-19, the new coronavirus. Please refer to the official website for details.
Opened in 1953 in the nature-rich Meiji no Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park, it is a 15-minute walk from Hankyu Minoh Station along the waterfall path. The Minoh Park Insectarium displays a variety of insect specimens and live insects, including familiar insects as well as never-before-seen, beautiful, cool, and strange insects, and the Butterfly Garden offers the delight of seeing butterflies flying all year round that can only be seen in the southwestern islands such as Okinawa. On Sundays and holidays, events where parents and children can interact with insects are held (irregularly). Another 30-minute walk up the waterfall path from the Insectarium will take you to Minoh Falls, a famous spot for viewing fresh greenery and autumn leaves.
