Kuanji Temple
In addition to seeing seasonal flowers, you can also come face-to-face with Buddhist statues in the various halls. You can also take a walk around the vast grounds and experience training such as copying sutras and Buddha statues.
This is the 12th sacred place of the Kansai Flower Temple. You can enjoy a variety of flowers and trees throughout the four seasons, including peonies and azaleas in the spring, hydrangeas and water lilies in the early summer, autumn leaves in the fall, and sasanquats and aspens in the winter. It is said that Gyoki founded the shrine in 725 with the Senju Kannon as its principal image. It is said that Hideyoshi once came here to worship the Sankojin and enjoy moon viewing. The gate at the entrance was built in the Nara period, using a unique technique to raise the eaves, and its elegant appearance is said to be the ``most beautiful gate,'' and it has been designated as a national important cultural property. Additionally, to the north across Ryoka no Michi from the main hall, there is a beautiful garden called Kokuen, as well as Ajiyama and Banji Pond, which are inspired by Sanskrit characters, and are also known as the Mandala Garden.
