Kurohimeyama Tumulus
Beautifully restored ancient ruins.
Kurohimeyama Tumulus is a keyhole-shaped tumulus with a total length of 114 meters, a width of 64 meters at the front, and a height of 11 meters. It is thought to have been built in the middle of the Kofun period, and was also used as a fort in the Middle Ages. Around the burial mound's trench, there is a surrounding garden (a design to make the tumulus look beautiful), which shows the Japanese people's obsession with beauty at the time. At the guidance facility, armor and clay clay figures unearthed during the excavations of the Kurohimeyama Tumulus are on display.
