Kasuga Shrine (Tajiri Town)
Deities such as Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, Iwanushi no Mikoto, and Amenokoyane no Mikoto are enshrined here.
During the Houki era (770-781), a man named Kosaji Yoshimi cultivated the area around what is now Yoshiminosato on the Nankai Main Line and established a village. It is recorded in Manzaiki that he prayed to Kasuga Daimyojin at this time. Deities such as Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, Iwanushi no Mikoto, and Amenokoyane no Mikoto are enshrined here. In the back, there is a monument to the founder of onion cultivation, which is rare in Japan.
