Shinkuni Shrine
It began during the reign of Emperor Yuryaku (late 5th century) when Mononobeme Dalen enshrined its ancestral deity, Nakahayahi no Mikoto.
The history of Shinkoku Shrine dates back to the reign of Emperor Yuryaku (late 5th century) when Mononobe no Omuraji enshrined his ancestor Nigihayahinomikoto. After that, the Monobe no Karakuni no Muraji family protected the Shinkuni Shrine, and it came to be called ``Karakuni Shrine.'' During the Muromachi period, Motokuni Hatakeyama, the guardian of Kawachi, donated 200 koku and enshrined the god of Kasuga from Kasuga Taisha Shrine in Nara. Later, during the era of Oda Nobunaga, the shrine was destroyed by military fire, and in 1908 (Meiji 41), the nearby Nagano Shrine was also enshrined. Therefore, the three deities enshrined are Nigihayahinomikoto, the founder of the Mononobe clan, Amenokoyane-no-mikoto, the god of Kasuga, and Susano-no-mikoto. became. The long approach to the shrine is covered with trees, and it has been selected as one of the prefecture's ``100 Best Greens.''
