Inryoji Temple
The blood on the ceiling tells the story.
The construction of the main hall of this temple uses old materials from Fushimi-Momoyama Castle, which was the residence of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The ceiling is also known as the ``blood ceiling,'' and there are traces of splattered blood, armor, and handprints. Additionally, the two silver osmanthus trees on the grounds were planted to commemorate the temple's founding in 1661, and are designated as natural monuments by the prefecture.
