Daenenbutsuji Temple

It is the head temple of the Yotsunen Buddhist sect. Manbe Oneri, a parade of monks dressed as bodhisattvas, is an intangible cultural property of the city.
This is the head temple of the Yutsunen Butshu sect, and the main hall is the largest wooden building in Osaka Prefecture. There are temple treasures such as the National Treasure "Mao Shi Zheng's Remaining Scrolls" and the Important Cultural Property "Yutsu Nenbutsu Kanjincho", and the Hyakumanben-e large rosary held on the 16th of January, May and September every year is famous. . During the Manbu Oneri from May 1st to May 5th, participants pay in advance to enter the hall, including a procession of children, dancing and joyful nenbutsu, and chanting songs and dancing. Eventually, the 25 Bodhisattvas will quietly cross the Raikobashi Bridge, guided by the Gagaku music with the sound of a gong. Next, the principal image of the ``11 Buddha Tentoku Nyorai'', His Holiness the Priest, the monk attending the memorial service, etc. will pass the statue in order. Afterwards, there is a ritual called ``Bodhisattva Denku,'' in which bodhisattvas place flowers one after another, and worshipers join hands to pray for the memorial service for their ancestors. The event was designated as an intangible folk cultural property by Osaka City in 2002.
