Atei Shrine
Both shrines and temples are deeply connected to Fujiwara no Kamatari.
This area has long been the territory of the Nakatomi Airaji clan, a member of the Nakatomi clan. The ancestral deity, Amenokoyane no Mikoto, was enshrined at A-jinja Shrine, an old shrine within the Engishiki area whose name is listed in the Engishiki Shinmyocho. It is also said to be ``Naemori Daimyojin.'' The ``triangular-rimmed mirror of two gods and two beasts'', an important art object in the collection, was excavated from the ``Shogunyama Tumulus'' in the same area, and was imported from China (Wei) from Yamataikoku in the early days of the Yamato court. It is also considered. At the annual festival in May, a ritual is held in which a portable shrine greets the neighboring Dainenji Temple. Both shrines and temples are deeply connected to Fujiwara no Kamatari.
