Abeno Shrine
On the day of the Hongu Festival, a summer festival, a ceremony will be held to the grave of Prince Akiie Kitabatake in Kitabatake Park.
It was founded in 1888, with the origins of the old battlefield and grave of the deity Akiie Kitabatake. During the enshrinement, Akiie's father, Chikafusa Kitabatake, who was a central figure in the Southern Court, was also enshrined together. On July 22nd, the day of the Hongu Festival, a summer festival, a ceremony will be held to the grave of Prince Akiie Kitabatake in Kitabatake Park. There is also a summer purification ceremony to pray for getting through the summer safely.
