Born in Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture.
He started boxing at the age of 12. He turned professional at the age of 22 and joined Watanabe Boxing.
After turning professional in 2016, he won his debut match at the Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium, and the following year in 2017, he won the IBF World Minimumweight Championship. In 2018, he also won the WBA Light Flyweight Championship, achieving a two-class championship. He also won the Super Champion and WBA Ring Magazine Championship.
In October 2019, he successfully defended his WBA World Light Flyweight title for the second time, following his previous defense in June.
