Suomachi Street (Europe Street)

"Europe Street" is a street with cobblestone streets and street lights. Stylish boutiques and restaurants are dotted along the road, which has an adult atmosphere.
In Osaka city, roads that run north to south are called "suji" (suji), and roads that run east to west are called "toori" (traditional streets). Suomachi-dori is the fifth street south of Nagahori-dori, and runs east to west, located roughly halfway between Nagahori and Dotonbori. While America-mura, which spreads out to the west across Midosuji, is a casual town for young people, the section of this street between Sakaisuji and Midosuji is commonly known as "Europe-dori" or "Europe-mura." Lined with cobblestones and streetlights, it is a fashionable adult town with a somewhat elegant atmosphere. There are boutiques and galleries of European brands, cafes and restaurants, and there are always people coming and going.
