Pichi Pichi Beach (Hakotsukuri Beach)
An artificial beach with blue sea, white sand, and an outstanding view. There will be heated battles on the beach volleyball court this year as well.
Located in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture, it is about a 15-minute walk from Hakotsukuri Station on the Nankai Main Line. Affectionately known as "Pichi Pichi Beach," Hakotsukuri Beach is an artificial beach with beautiful blue waters and white sand. On a clear day, you can see Awaji Island, Kansai International Airport, and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The beach is 700 meters long and 80 meters deep, but it is equipped with a barbecue corner, beach volleyball courts, beach huts, and shower facilities, and is visited by many families and groups every year. Around early August, the All Japan Beach Volleyball Junior Men's Championship, a national tournament for high school boys' beach volleyball, is held, and high school boys from all over the country compete in heated battles.
