Ohama Park
A historic park that opened in 1879 (Meiji 12), it is popular among local residents as a place for sports and recreation.
The park is home to a baseball field, sumo ring, gymnasium, swimming pool, monkey island, and more, and is a feast for the eyes with its lush greenery and seasonal flowers. In addition, the Sakai Ooyo Night Market, held every year on July 31st, is a revival of a festival that was held in the Kamakura period, and is bustling with lively calls and fish auctions.
