The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka

The museum has a collection of approximately 5,700 pieces of Oriental ceramics, including the Ataka Collection.
Of these, two are national treasures and 13 are important cultural properties.

Located in a corner of Nakanoshima Park, this art museum was established by the city of Osaka to commemorate the donation of the world-famous Ataka Collection by 21 companies of the Sumitomo Group, and opened in November 1982.
Later, Dr. Lee Byung-Chang, a Korean resident of Japan, donated a large collection of Korean and Chinese ceramics, which remains to this day.
The museum's collection of approximately 5,700 items, including two national treasures, the Yuteki Tenmoku tea bowl and the Tobi Celadon Vase, and 13 Important Cultural Properties, such as the Blue Flower Lotus Pond Fish and Algae Design Vase, makes it one of the world's finest collections of Oriental ceramics.
In the exhibition room, which makes use of natural lighting, you can see beautiful ceramics bathed in soft sunlight.
