Kusumoto Shrine

It is widely revered by villagers as a god of agriculture and martial arts, a god of exorcism of evil spirits, and a god of healing from illness.

Kusumoto Shrine is one of the three Kusumoto shrines listed in the Engishiki, and the date of its establishment is unknown. It is said that during the reign of Emperor Yomei, Lord Mononobe Moriya enshrined the great god of Futo as the guardian deity of Inamura Castle, the main site of the castle, and as the ancestral deity of the clan. It is widely revered by villagers as a god of agriculture and martial arts, a god of exorcism of evil spirits, and a god of healing from illness. Monthly festivals are held on the 1st and 15th of every month.
