Kitahama Retro Building

Enjoy British-style afternoon tea in a building that is a registered tangible cultural property of the country. From the window, you can see a panoramic view of Nakanoshima's rose garden.
Kitahama Retro Building stands opposite the Osaka Securities Exchange, with Tosabori River and Nakanoshima Park behind it. Originally completed in 1912 as the headquarters of a securities brokerage, the building was influenced by the Glasgow School of England and is a registered tangible cultural property of the country. Currently, the first floor is a British-style cake and tea goods shop, and the second floor is a cafe with a British antique atmosphere that is popular among tea connoisseurs. British interior items are used throughout the store, including doorknobs and light switches. The afternoon tea set, which includes cakes, scones, and sandwiches, is the shop's most popular menu item. There are about 40 kinds of tea from England, France, India, and more, and the cakes are handmade in the store every day. From the windows of the cafe space on the second floor, you can see the whole of Nakanoshima's rose garden, making it a recommended place to spend the afternoon.
