Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street
A 3-minute walk from Namba Station. A 150-meter-long shopping street lined with specialty shops selling food samples, lanterns, illuminated signs, tableware, cooking and kitchen utensils, and more. This shopping street is always bustling with tourists from Japan and abroad. It originally began in 1882, when antique shops and general goods stores opened along the approach from Hozenji to the Shitennoji at Shitennoji and Imamiya Ebisu Shrine. In 1970, an arcade was built and it developed into the shopping street we see today. Osaka is known as the "Kitchen of the Nation," and even today, it is a city where chefs and chefs compete with each other for the heart and skill of their cooking. This shopping street is filled with shops that sell tools suitable for the convenience of professionals. In particular, Osaka's selection of cooking utensils for flour-based foods such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki is the best in Japan.
