Gamoyon neighborhood (Gamou 4-chome)
The town is attracting attention because of its regeneration of old folk houses while preserving the atmosphere of a downtown area.
Gamo 4-chome is affectionately known as "Gamoyon." The atmosphere of the downtown area and the old townscape have a different charm from downtown areas such as Minami and Umeda. In addition, this town has the fourth highest population density in Japan, and has many families, making it a thriving food town. Called the ``Gamoyon Nigiwai Project'', the town is being renovated from dormant old houses and rowhouses and is attracting attention, with retro and modern restaurants lined up in rows.
