Seasonal cuisine Mikaya (handmade udon experience)

Experience Japanese food culture by making udon, the source of energy
At this tasteful Japanese restaurant on the Koyakaido, you can experience hand-making udon, one of Japan's three major noodles (ramen, soba, and udon). The only ingredients are domestic wheat, salt, and water. Under the careful and unique guidance of the famous chef, you can try the process of kneading, stomping, stretching, and cutting the dough. The udon you make will be boiled right there in the restaurant, and while you wait for it to be boiled, you can try a sake tasting experience. You will be amazed at the difference in taste between sweet, standard, and dry sake. The smooth and chewy freshly made udon can be enjoyed with a daily changing bonito broth. After the experience, you will receive a graduation certificate and an original Miyoshiya sake cup! It is also recommended to visit the Koyakaido area and the nearby museums of sudare and tsumayoji to experience traditional Japanese crafts.
