The top floor of Sakai City Hall is open to the public as an observation lobby, making it accessible to all city residents and a friendly building. Located about 80 meters above ground, the floor has large observation windows in all directions, offering a spectacular 360-degree view. Below you can see the Sakai cityscape, including the world's largest keyhole-shaped burial mound, Emperor Nintoku's Tomb, and on a clear day, you can see Mount Ikoma and Mount Kongo to the east, Awaji Island and Mount Rokko to the west, and Abeno Harukas to the north.
We are currently holding an exhibition entitled "The World of Saito Takao's Manga", a collaboration with the late manga artist Saito Takao, who served as Sakai's Honorary Ambassador.
You can experience the charm of "drama artist Saito Takao" through the exhibition content that can only be found in Sakai City, such as stories about Saito Takao's life in Sakai, the charm of "drama comics," and displays of his representative works. Admission is free.
